Nestled on the banks of the
Ohio River in historic Sayler Park, St. Aloysius on the Ohio School
has been a great place for children to learn and grow for more than
135 years.
Each day, the
classrooms come alive with activity as students are challenged
academically, nourished spiritually and emotionally, and tested
physically. Students enjoy a safe, friendly environment that
encourages mutual respect and self-discipline.
St. Aloysius provides a
solid, faith-based education for Pre-K and Kindergarten through
Grade 8. The preschool offers both full day and half day options to
meet the needs of the youngest students and to build a foundation
for academic success.
The school’s low
student-to-teacher ratio (10:1) provides individual attention from a
staff of experienced teachers who are dedicated to helping each
child meet his or her full potential. St. Aloysius students excel at
both parochial and public high schools, thanks to our high academic
standards.
Because of our small class
sizes, teachers have the extra time and flexibility that allow them
to make classroom accommodations for students with special
needs. We also provide academic support by state-certified
specialists, including a speech pathologist, reading specialist, and
learning disabilities tutor.
In addition to excellent
academics, St. Aloysius offers a variety of experiences to support
the development of the
whole child. Spiritual
growth is fostered daily in the classroom and celebrated at special
events year-round. Enrichment activities are offered through
athletics, art, music, a state-of-the-art computer learning center,
and one of the best libraries and Accelerated Reader programs in the
Archdiocese.
Families who are members of St. Joseph Parish in
North Bend qualify for in-parish tuition at St. Aloysius on
the Ohio and incur no further financial obligation to our parish.
